Winter is here and it’s getting pretty cold, so we’ve compiled a few winter beauty hacks to keep you looking fabulous this season.

Lip balm

In winter, your lips are more fragile, so be sure to apply a good lip balm to protect your lips and avoid dry, irritated skin when you’re out in the cold.

Hydrating lotions

Don’t skimp on moisturiser in the winter, be generous and spend extra time, especially on areas like your elbows and knees. Exfoliating beforehand will leave your skin super smooth.

Waterproof mascara

The cold weather can mean teary eyes, so opting for waterproof mascara could save you the dreaded panda eyes. Or better still, why not try dying your lashes? Not only does it save you time, but it makes eye makeup removal less harsh.

Sunscreen

You may think because it’s cold outside you can ditch the sunscreen but don’t be too hasty, according to Victoria Schofield, an expert from Dermalogica, “UVA rays are present at the same strength from dusk till dawn all year round and penetrate cloud cover” this means that damage to your skin can happen all year round.

Wear liquid foundation

Keep away from powders in the winter, they will leave you skin looking cakey. Opt for lighter creams like a BB for easy absorption, good coverage, and a fresh dewy look. Top it off with some blush for the rosy cheek look.
